  Bismillah  for  distinguishing one surah from another: وفى سنن أبى داؤد بإسناد صحيح عن إبن عباس رضى الله تعالى عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان لايعرف فصل السور حتى ينزل عليه "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم" It is reported in the Sunani Abi Dawud, with an authentic chain of narrators, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, (R.) that Allah’s Rasul (Sm.), did not understand the separation of Suras until بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم revealed to him. To recite other sentences in place of Bismillah at the time of slaughter: To say Alhamdu Lillah, Subhanallah, Allahu Akbar instead of Bismillah at the time of slaughter is Jaez: (جائز) Shamsuddin As –Sarakhsi said in the book Al-Mabsoot:  وإن قال مكان التسمية ألحمد لله أو سبحان الله او الله أكبر يريد به التسمية أجزأه لأن الشرط ذكر الله تعالى على التعظيم “If a slaughterer says in the place of Bismillah “ Alhamdu Lillah ” or “ Subhanallah ” or “ Allahu Akbar ” with the intention of Bismillah (To start in the name of Allah), it is allowed/ Jaez (جائز , b ecause the remembrance of Allah the Almighty to glorify Him is the condition for slaughter”. Meaning of  رحمة الله (Rahmatullah): ورحمة الله هى إرادته الخير بأهله “And Allah's Rahmat means    His will for the good of His all the creatures.” (Ref.1) Abu Muhammad Al-Husain Ibn Masu’d   Al-Bagawi said: فالرحمن من تصل رحمته إلى الخلق على العموم والرحيم من تصل رحمته اليهم على الخصوص “So, Rahman is He whose mercy reaches all the creatures in general,( To all human beings, Jinns animals birds, insects, and all the known -unknown creatures irrespective of good or bad, righteous or sinners) and Rahim is He whose mercy reaches them in particular.” (Mumins and righteous).
