Treatment of pain by   أعوذ بالله  and باسم الله  :

It was narrated by Uthman Ibn Abil Aa’s At-Thaqafi that he complained to Allah’s Rasul (Sm.) about some pain that he had felt in his body since he became Muslim. Allah’s Rasul (Sm.) said to him “Put your hand on the part of your body that hurts and say بإسم الله – (“Bi-Ismillah”, “In the name of Allah”) three times, then say seven times - اعوذ بالله وقدرته من شر ما أجد وأحاذر (A'uzu Billahi Wa Qudratihi Min Sharri Ma Ajedu Wa Uhazeru) I seek refuge in Allah and his power from the evil of what I found and I fear.

There is no doubt that the Satan of human beings is much more dangerous than the Satan of Jinn in the context of deception because Jinn satan goes to hide when refuge in  Allah is sought. On the other hand, Satan of humans shows indecent activities to human beings in a beautiful manner and misleads them into forbidden activities and nothing can prevent him from his decision. So, the saved person is he who is saved by Allah the almighty. The Quran says in this regard-

"If there had not been the grace and mercy of Allah upon you, you would have followed Satan except a few of you. (An-Nisa-83) It means –O Mumins If Allah’s grace had not been upon you by sending the Rasul and His grace by the revelation of the Quran, you would have followed Satan in indecent activities except a few of you."(Ref.1)

So, It is proved at the end of this discussion that

“He is safe whom Allah keeps safe.”
